About the Origin TEYOWELAS
Teens and Youth Welfare Association Ibadan Nigeria was founded on the 12th of June 1996 with the lofty vision of molding the lives and the future of all Teenagers and Youth resident in Nigeria regardless of Color, Language, Race or Religious beliefs.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
AIMS:
We aim at Social, Spiritual and Physical growth of all Teenagers and Youths residents in Nigeria regardless of Color, Language, Religion or Race.
OBJECTIVES:
To create awareness on the dangers of Aids and other sexually transmitted diseases, teenage pregnancy, drug-abuse as well as other anti social behaviors such as cultism, smoking, prostitution, etc
To create and facilitate opportunities for Teenagers and Youth in educational and vocational training especially for out-of-school, drop- outs and street kids.
To initiate and involve Teenagers and Youth in the planning, implementation and management of self-help projects in order to make them self-reliant and enhance their social economic development.
To facilitate training for Teenagers and Youth in leadership development and civil responsibilities in order to make them useful citizens and agents of development to themselves, their Parents, Communities and the Nation at large.
To educate and sensitized the Parents, Community/Opinion leaders, Development agents and other groups in the society on issues affecting the lives and development of teenagers and youths.
To educate our community on the dangers of gender in-equality and thereby erase all the age long prejudice against the girl child.
To collect, analyze and disseminate information on programs and projects on all aspect of teens/youths life and also network with other organizations with similar focus.
